  2. Digestive Patterns: Pay attention to your child's digestion. Vata-dominant children may have irregular digestion, Pitta-dominant children often have strong digestion but may be prone to acidity, and Kapha-dominant children may have slow digestion and feel heavy after meals.
  3. Response to Climate and Seasons: Note how your child responds to different seasons. Vata-dominant children are sensitive to cold and dry weather, Pitta-dominant children may be sensitive to heat, and Kapha-dominant children may struggle with damp or cold weather.
  4. Behavioral Preferences: Observe your child's preferences in activities, food, and routines. Vata-dominant children enjoy variety and creativity, Pitta-dominant children thrive on challenges and competition, and Kapha-dominant children prefer routine and stability.

Vata Dosha in Children:

  • Vata is associated with the elements of air and ether (space).
  • Children with dominant Vata dosha tend to be creative, energetic, and imaginative.
  • When Vata is imbalanced, children may experience anxiety, restlessness, irregular digestion, and difficulty focusing.
  • Physical characteristics of Vata imbalance in children can include dry skin, constipation, and variable appetite.

Pitta Dosha in Children:

  • Pitta is associated with the elements of fire and a little water.
  • Children with dominant Pitta dosha are often sharp-minded, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented.
  • Imbalanced Pitta in children may manifest as irritability, impatience, and excessive competitiveness.
  • Physical signs of Pitta imbalance in children can include skin rashes, inflammation, and digestive issues like acid reflux or diarrhea.

Kapha Dosha in Children:

  • Kapha is associated with the elements of earth and water.
  • Children with dominant Kapha dosha are usually calm, affectionate, and steady.
  • Imbalanced Kapha in children can lead to sluggishness, resistance to change, and tendency to gain weight easily.
  • Physical indications of Kapha imbalance in children may include respiratory congestion, excess mucus, and lethargy.
